Every cut at Forge is the work of one of these four. Each chair is its own small practice. Pick the chair, then pick the cut, then book.
01Master Barber, Founder
22 years at the chair
Marcus opened Forge in 2014 after fifteen years cutting in shops across London and Toronto. He trained under Spanish straight-razor masters and still keeps a Mappin & Webb razor from his grandfather on the back wall. He runs the master chair and trains every barber who joins the shop.
02Senior Barber
11 years at the chair
Dilan apprenticed in Istanbul before joining Forge in 2017. His skin fades have a precision that gets noticed. He is the chair to book if you want a cut that holds its shape four weeks later.
03Senior Barber
9 years at the chair
Rohan came up through the Vancouver scene. He brought textured-hair expertise into the shop and a voice loud enough that you can hear his chair from the front door. Booking with Rohan is booking entertainment alongside the cut.
04Apprentice Barber
3 years at the chair
Noor joined the shop in 2023 after completing the program at the Modern Barber Academy. She works the apprentice chair under Marcus and is the only barber in the shop who gets the steam towel temperature right on the first try.
If this is your first visit and you want the cut chosen for you, the master chair (Marcus) is the right answer. He will take fifteen minutes on the consultation and another forty on the cut, and you will leave with a cut shaped to your face, your hair type, and your morning.
If you know exactly what you want and you want the most precise fade in the shop, book Dilan. He works fast, asks short questions, and his cuts hold their line for four weeks.
If you have textured or curly hair, book Rohan. The shop has a dedicated chair for textured-hair work for a reason. Rohan will cut wet, dry, and wet again to land the shape you want.
If you want the cut that costs the least and was trained by the master chair, book Noor at the apprentice chair. The work is the same. The price band is one tier lower because she is two years into her career instead of twenty-two.
